Sweet Tooth

This month's theme at Scrap Kit Challenge was Sweet Tooth.  The color palette is quite reminiscent of an old time candy store, so for the kit I made old fashioned candy.

The kit includes:

  • 1 torn paper
  • 1 ribbon (made from a strip of candy dots)
  • 1 pink striped border
  • 1 round frame
  • 1 jar (so that you can display the candy)
  • 4 gumballs
  • 4 old fashioned candy sticks
  • 4 swirled lollipops
  • 4 swirled brads
  • 6 wrapped hard candies
  • 1 clear wrapper (so that you can wrap your own candy)
  • 2 pieces of ribbon candy
  • 1 black licorice alpha (includes uppercase, lowercase and numbers)

Camping Quick Page

I made popsicle sticks because I wanted to make this quick page. You can get the popsicle frames as part of my camping kit.

Penance

To my great shame, I discovered tonight that there were multiple errors in the alpha that I posted last night, such as parts of letters being cut off. So, I corrected the zip file. If you are one of the 44 people who downloaded the zip today, then you will need to re-download it to get usable images. As penance, I made another alpha. Here are the same letters, but now those poor dogs and cats have fur.

Luv My Pets - Dog and Cat Alpha

I made the template for this alpha back when Luv My Pets was the theme for Scrap Kit Challenge, but then I never finished the alpha. Anyways, I finally finished the alpha and thought I would offer it up as I have joined a new blog called An Alpha a Day. The goal of the blog is to offer an alphabet every day. As I quite like alphabets, I thought I'd become a contributor. The blog officially launches September 1st, but there already some freebies available on the blog.

Camping Paper Pack

The July theme of camping was extended until August for Scrap Kit Challenge. This was a good thing since I had almost no time in July and early August to work on scrap items. Don't be surprised if you see popsicle sticks in my kit. There is a reason I wrote a popsicle stick tutorial.

This month's theme for Scrap Kit Challenge is Camping. I made some leaf brushes as part of my contribution to the camping mega-kit. These brushes only work in Paint Shop Pro.

Beach Babies Quick Page

I made a quick page using pieces of my Beach Babies kit. There will be an add-on to the kit at some point as I made a few items in order to create this quick page.

Beach Babies Glitter Alphas

I'm back from vacation, but very, very busy with work and visiting relatives. I have a bunch of scripts to post, but I haven't gotten around to making previews for them yet. Here are the Beach Babies alphas without the chipboard back.

Beach Babies Alphas

I made 3 simple alphas for Beach Babies. I really wanted to do more with glitter in this kit, but, oh well, perhaps next time. I also have all the glitter letters without the chipboard, but I'm not sure if people are interested in them. Would people use glitter letters by themselves? Please leave a comment if you have an opinion. It might help me decide.

Another day, another alpha. Here is the fourth alpha for Luv My Pets. Only one more left in the series.

Luv My Pets - Orange Felt Alpha

Here is the orange felt alpha for Luv My Pets. I wanted to make an tabby stripe, like in a marmalade kitty. I don't think I succeeded, but I do like this pattern all the same.

Luv My Pets - Red Felt Alpha

I'm calling this red because I have another felt alpha that I decided to call orange. However, I'm not certain this is red. Maybe a neon red, though it has definite orangish hues. There are a total of five alphas for the Luv My Pets kit. This is the second one in the series.

Luv My Pets - Green Felt Alpha

I made a series of five puffy felt alphas to go with my Luv My Pets kit since I worked out the method for making my own felt textures. Please come back tomorrow for the next alpha in the series. The kit will be posted last, since I want to post it with the Scrap Kit Challenge blog train links for this month.

Pawprint Overlay

I get mopey from time to time and wonder if anyone is using the scripts, designer tools, or kits that I put up on this blog. I have very flexible terms of use because my main joy after sharing is seeing people use my stuff. If people could be so kind as to share how they have used anything from my blog with me, I would be very grateful. You can find my email at the end of the entry about the pixel pusher.

I'm mucking around with pre-made designer preview templates. Here is a paper overlay for Luv My Pets.

Luv My Pets Papers

The theme for this month's Scrap Kit Challenge is "I Love My Pets". Here are the papers for my portion of the mega-kit. Stay tuned for the "I Love My Pets" blog train which will leave the station at the end of this month.
